A fever isn't til 100.4 I'd just watch her and if it gets to 100 I would give her Tylenol.

How did you take the temp? Also I would monitor her and take her temp in an hour. If it hits 100 definitely call your doctor and see how much a 3 month old can take for Tylenol.

Yeah I wouldn’t consider that a fever. I’d check again in an hour or so. Hopefully it doesn’t but if it does go up I would try other ways to bring it down before Tylenol

@jq129847, rectally. I know it’s not technically considered a fever but her normal temp runs lower than that in the 97.7 range so i’d say she’s on her way to having a fever

@jtaylorg, don’t worry which I know it’s hard to do but 99.7 is still not considered a fever so monitor her for an hour. But if you are still feeling worried I feel it best to call the doctors office to speak to a nurse or doctor. Usually they tell me what to do (which is usually everything I do regardless) but it might put your mind at ease also best to call in case she does end up with a fever you’ll know how much to give her.

If you can, put her in a short sleeve onesie and take her socks off! Then check it in a little while and see if it drops. My son is big, and if we notice he’s a little red we strip him completely, and it usually works. He’s also had some pretty high temps and the first thing we do after some Tylenol is put him in comfy light clothes.
