I am wondering if anyone else has been through this and what they did. When my daughter was born the guy we thought was the Daddy got put on the birth certificate 6 months later we find out she’s not his and I get told I can’t do nothing to change it either her Daddy does or the guy on the birth certificate has 2. Well her dads side of the family says there has to be an easier way then going through the court well 2 years later I find a form send it in with the money but apparently we still have to get a judge to ok everything. What does her dad need to do to petition the court to get his name on the birth certificate.

As soon as I found we stopped child support and the actual Daddy has signed an acknowledgment of avadaved. Thanks
My sons dad is actually going threw the same thing. The little girl will be 6 yrs old this yr and he's still paying child support and her mom is keeping the money. 😐 he doesn't have money for an attorney right now. But I hear it's hard to get him off the birth certificate.
@april0416 ohh they told mine he couldn't get off because he owed back pay. And the real dad supposedly bought a home DNA test and sent it off and it came back that she was his. But he isn't in her life. I really dont know why he did that in the first place. But they are giving my sons dad hard time about it.
