@daniellejan, my daughter was a big side and stomach sleeper at 6m, I worried so much about her. I asked her pediatrician about it and said she *should* be ok by that age. By then they can roll over on their own and *should* be able to move if they are having trouble breathing.

I hope this helps. And always talk with your pediatrician about your fears. One of their jobs is to teach and help with your fears as a parent.

Best of luck!

My biggest fear for my kids....

We had decided on getting the owlet with this baby. Then I almost bled to death after delivery due to PPH, a rare condition. My mom bought us the owlet right away in fear of SIDS and knowing we were done having kids because it could take my life and we've already lost 2 pregnancies...

I know it's expensive, but it's well worth buying! It also grows with your child up to 18 months. You can also find off brands of the baby oxygen readers, or used owlets on Facebook.

I still don't trust it 100% but I do sleep better knowing an alarm will sound if my baby is in distress. I'm a deep sleeper and worried so much about SIDS that I would stay awake listening to him breath, but then when I did fall asleep I would sleep so deeply that chainsaws and police sirens wouldn't wake me....

I'm sorry for your friends loss... My aunt lost a son to SIDS...

@shay2beautiful, @adams2017, I make sure that there is on sheet down on his crib, nothing else on his crib and have a fan in our room. He just loves sleeping on his belly. He automatically goes in his belly every time we lay him down
