I’m 17 weeks pregnant and I’m told that I have to get the varicella shot for a current job. I’ve already had the chicken pox when I was younger but still need this shot. Have any other mommy’s had to get this shot? Were there any side effects?

@miaheka, so do I just need a titter drawn so that it shows I have the chicken pox antibodies?
I never had the chicken pox, so I had to get the vaccine.
If you had the chicken pox then you don’t need the vaccine. I got it post birth before leaving the hospital last month and I haven’t had any side effects.
Any of you ladies been on the depo shot and not have a period?
I’m scheduled for a c section Thursday and I’m a bit nervous.

No commenting if you're going to be rude please. I have decided not to get any shot through out my pregnancy. The only shot I got was a mandatory because I had a negative blood type. Did anyone else deny all the shots and have any problems or was your baby healthy ? I just am sick of getting judged, my mom had a bad experience with getting all the shots so I decided not to.
You don't need it if you already had the vaccine. Get your titers drawn.
