So if you’re only getting half your benefits now and gonna get the other half later in the month, save ur receipt from that trip so next time you know exactly what u have and u don’t have to be guessing
Yup what she said^
You use it first when you pay. Anything you’re getting that’s wic deducts from your total. Then the rest of the total you pay. Unless you’re only getting wic stuff then it all comes off. Then they give you a receipt saying what all came off & what you have left. The only thing I don’t like about it is unless you have the list on hand of everything u have on ur wic, there’s no way to tell exactly what benefits u have left on ur card for the month. But if you go up to a cashier at the beginning of ur grocery trip & have them run the card they can print you a lil receipt that lists everything you have available.
Totally more convenient. You just go and grab the stuff you need that is covered by WIC, the cashier rings it up, you tell them your using a WIC card and that's it. You use it just like any other card.
