To everyone that breast fed do and stored your milk do you have to use same brand of storage bags as the pump? Or can you use different brand bags
@ashleygrinstead2014, lol. I’m just assuming you’re having a boy for some reason. 😂 Is it a boy or a girl?
@ashleygrinstead2014, at the very least they should give you those really narrow milk containers at the hospital. Ask to speak to a lactation consultant after you have your *daughter* and they will hook you up.
@lulu85_18, my insurance doesn’t release a breast pump until after I have the baby so I wonder if they do bags
@ashleygrinstead2014, I believe they do. This went into effect with Obamacare. All breastfeeding supplies should be covered by your insurance. I suppose if there was a way to claim bags, you could. I just don’t think hospitals carry them.
When you’re at the hospital, ask for milk storage containers from a nurse. They will bill your insurance for them. They are reusable and you get to pay 0 for them! 😎
I have just found milk storage bags to add up over time.
You Can use any brand! I have the Medela pump & I use the store brand bags
@lulu85_18, lol it’s all good
