@reddroses14, the dr that put it in told me I shouldn’t need to worry about it bending or anything cause it’s flexible but I have heard of them breaking but it’s not a common thing. As long as I’m not playing with it and bending it and stuff lol
@reddroses14, so yours looks JUST like mine? I’ve only had it for 4 months. My sister in law said hers bothered her for the first year and some one else commented and said the first 6 months it doesn’t constantly bother me but last night and yesterday it was pretty bad.
@noahs.mommy you can see mine threw my skin and it itches from time to time as it is a foreign object in your body. The itching is due to the scar tissue around the implant. I have a red dot just like yours just not as red and 2 weeks ago when I went to have mine checked doc said it's perfectly ok. She even was like year I can see it through your skin and doesn't look bent so your supposed to see it. If it's rubbing to hard it can cause some irritation. Never hesitate to go in and get it checked. I just call the nurses and if they can't figure out over phone they have me go in and see the doctor
@noahs.mommy I could see a little indent for the first little bit but after that I could only see a dot of a scar and I could feel it if I touched that spot, if it's too bad maybe call your doctor and make sure it's normal.
@mermaidmeshy, it doesn’t look right to me either I strongly feel like being able to see it like that is a no no
@noahs.mommy yeah. I'd have them look at it. Doesn't look right. But I'm also not a doctor...🤷♀️
@mermaidmeshy, 😭😭😭 with my luck they’ll say it wasn’t placed right lol
@noahs.mommy its doesn't go under the skin, but in it. So if your skin is more sensitive, it may be why its bothering you.
I would honestly go back and see if it's placed correctly. They may not have gone deep enough. But their needle makes it so they can't go too deep/get the right depth.
@mermaidmeshy, really? I hope it stops soon. As for the I can see it through my scar part, could you see yours?
The very first time I got it it probably bugged me for a solid 6 months. After that, I would forget it was there for a few days, then a week, then a month. I'm now on my 4th one, and getting it replaced doesn't really even bruise anymore.
My sister in law just told me it bothered her for the first year now it doesn’t. I’ve only had mine since December...
I do, I love it. Ask away, no question off limits.
@tibi2696, I feel like if my son pinches me too hard or scratches it that it’s gonna open and my implant will be exposed and start coming out or something
@tibi2696, so I have it right now and idk how to explain the location that it’s in but where it’s at i can see the implant through my scar from where it was inserted. It’s white but that’s besides the point. When I have my arm certain ways I can feel the implant pushing against said scar and it’s itchy and uncomfortable it’s not constantly like that only when I lay my arm against my rib cage weird but I get like blister/scabs from where it’s rubbing against my arm on the outside? Idk if any of this makes sense 😞
I had it before trying for this pregnancy
@noahs.mommy Yes looks just like that and I've had mine in since Feb. The last time I had it it was in for a whole year and when she pulled it out it was bent but still was effective as I had never gotten pregnant that whole year lol. I love Nexplanon since it gives me no periods, no weight gain, no extra moodiness
