Hi👋 !
Who had a cesarean section ? And who knows...do you need a bandage after childbirth?
Ya welcome hun. I hope all goes to plan for you & bubs. Positive thoughts. In a way you are lucky you already know your having a c-section so you can be prepared for it, fingers crossed it stays as a planned xx
@x-t-x, Thanks a lot for a good advice! 💋I will write how I feel after c-section. Hope everything will be ok! On Friday I will know it will be an emergency or planning c-section
Sorry for late reply @elen_777-89, Nah I didn’t buy a bandage either.
It was painful for the first few days but the more I did the better I felt, all I will say is listen to ya body and don’t push ya self to much. I was sitting on the sofa an lil man started to cry my first instinct was the jump up to him and that really did hurt! So take ya time & don’t push ya self to much, easier said then done with a new born I know. I was told by my midwife to use a hair dryer, cool setting, after having a shower to dry the wound. Also let air get to it as much as I could. It’s healed great and hardly visible now xx
@elen_777-89, no, no bandage just cleaned it 3 times a day and let air get to it as well, I found the recovery less painful the second time but I think it’s because my body remembered from last time and knew what to do, just stay on top of the painkillers the hospital gives you and take it easy, my midwife told me that the bandage can actually show down the recovery and puts you at higher risk of infection x
I never bought anything I just let it heal on its own, mine was painful for the first couple of days but I just made sure I kept moving so i wouldn't get stiff and that helped alot
@x-t-x, @gabilicious, @abbyrose, thanks 😌 Also I would like to ask did you buy a bandage to wear it at home? Was it painful? After my first emergency c-section I had really hard pain and used the bandage for more than one month
I had a c section they apply it and they took mine off a couple days after x
I had to, they put the dressing on before you leave the theatre and then they removed mine after 12-16 hours so I could get in the shower x
@x-t-x, yes, it’s really important to knows that it will be a c-section. Everything will be ok! Thank you 😌
