I can’t find baby’s HB with my Doppler. I’m currently 10+2 today😔 x

I first ever found babys heart beat with a doppler at 13 and a half weeks with my little girl, but youre really not supposed to use them like an above comment said because we're not trained to use them xx

Now I feel silly for even buying one!! 😔. I’ll step away from the Doppler and leave it alone until I go see my midwife again xx

My midwife didn’t even check until 20 weeks x

Most midwifes won’t even use a Doppler in your appointments to find baby at 16 weeks, baby’s so so small I wouldn’t use one. X

Agree with @courtniek98x, definitely wouldn’t use one also the placenta has its own beat as well that is very similar to the baby’s xx

Thanks Ladies I guess I just thought I’d be able to find it straight away, I have read not to use it till 12wks because of this problem exactly but I’m just impatient that’s all. I guess I’ll just wait a couple of weeks and try again.xx

I wouldn’t use a home Doppler they’re dangerous in the sense you can hear your own heartbeat and think it’s baby or you won’t be able to find baby’s heartbeat which makes you panic! Midwives in the UK are moving to ban them for being purchased because we don’t have the correct training to find baby’s heartbeat and they don’t listen in until 16 weeks

Sometimes especially as you're so early in your pregnancy you won't hear it but don't get too worried I'd leave it to your midwife to do. Dopplers are great but cause mothers stress if they can't hear anything. I'm sure everything is fine don't worry you'll get to hear it soon

It took me ages to find it I found the heartbeat was further down as the baby isn't fully in your belly yet x

I hope so🙈. I can hear a HB but I know it’s mine cause it’s inly 64BPM lol x
