@mommytonayeliz Ask the doctor there to make sure she doesnt have a lip or tongue tie before you guys get discharged! Lip and tongue tie make it impossible to get a good latch and the sooner you know the better so you can correct it, but if shes doesnt have it then persistence is KEY. It takes practice, and patience. Shes also really tiny so it could take some time but it's not impossible just make sure she has no ties and keep trying :)

@mommytonayeliz The nurses are no help probably constantly checking in right? 😂 lol. If I absolutely needed a break I'd also ask for one of them to take her again for just a couple of hours that way you can get some rest, unless its feeding time.. I know at st Joe's they encourage breast feeding every 2 hours. Hang in there girl. Sleep is a hard loss in the beginning, but you can do this.

@simplyshantell yeah literally as soon as they broke my water i immediately starting contracting ! it was horrible but i waited for the epidural till 4 cm . girl yes so instead of taking advantage and sleeping now when he can help. I'm here upp with her . horrible timing seriously

@boymom_ @mommytonayeliz Every labor is unique and a lot depends on your doctor and nurses and how quickly you're progressing. Sometimes it isn't necessary if you're making quick progress, or there isnt time 😂 i dread the moment they'll be breaking my water 😭 That's the part that freaks me out personally, idk why just something about it.

I cant believe your hubby is sick! Couldn't be of worse timing girl.. I hope he feels better soon! Baby girl has your immunity right now at least so that's a good thing.

No problem hun I have knowledge to offer in the field of obstetrics I just dont practice now that I own a business. @mommytonayeliz that means in your case you're progressing very quickly ! Exciting 😀 You're good now girl, you got the epidural. Just relax and hang in there, theres no telling how fast it'll happen from now to pushing, but at least you know it will be today, for sure. So happy for you! Dont feel bad, you're making progress and the epidural might help your body move faster like it does for many.

@simplyshantell oh yeah my contractions are still strong and consistant that theyy turned off the pitocin lol yeab thry said she will be here today ! i cant wait i feel exhasuted and a lil bit like a failure cuz i was crting like a baby

@mommytonayeliz Gotcha! Since your water is already broken and you have the epidural now, they will just continue to increase pitocin until your contractions start getting more intense and minutes apart. That's when you will start to push, but you're still a ways out at 4.5cm BUT you will most likely start progressing quickly from here on out, you'll be dilating faster now that you're making progress, if all goes as planned. Before you know it you'll be at an 8 and then 10 and then baby. I'm placing a bet it will be by tonight! For sure.

@mommytonayeliz Good job waiting!! The more you wait for it the higher the effectiveness later. I plan on doing the same. You got this. Even though progress is slow at first once the water breaks is when its game on and shell be out soon. Get some rest/do whatever necessary to distract yourself a little and conserve your energy.

@mommytonayeliz Once you start gradually with the pitocin things will really get moving. Save your energy for when your water breaks, get the epidural for pain if it's too much to handle. It's all going to be done with soon! She'll be born latest by this evening.

Why not I had it with my first especially cause I didnt have a epidural
