First time mommy question. My baby just turned 4 months on the 16th. He has been sleeping in our room in his bassinet since day 1. He is now 15 lbs and at the weight limit for his bassinet so it looks like crib time.... which is giving me anxiety!!! Any tips to get over this lol. I'm terrified to not have him next to me. He is rolling over to his tummy but cant get back on his back and I'm so afraid he will smother himself 😖😖😞. His Dr assured me he wont but I cant help the fear that I have... any tips for me?

@melissamichele05 baby monitors are great!!! I had mine with my DD till she was 3. Mostly because I like to listen to her talk to herself, sing and play till she fell asleep. But I like to keep it because there were some nights she would wake up crying cuz she either had a bad dream she was sweating or she had to pee. Now that she's 4 I just feel like I'd be invading her privacy, LOL.

@mommiesaremagical14 @inkedsouthernbelle I think with the monitor next to me and up all the way I will feel ok about it.

@melissamichele05 and that's totally normal. My sister was the same way with her first plus she was a very young mother so that added to her fear a lot. Really as long as he has a nice firm surface no toys no blankets no pillows he'll be fine.

@mommiesaremagical14 that's how I am. I always have to check for breathing. It's horrible fearing something could happen but idk how to just stop doing that lol.

@inkedsouthernbelle I have one. And I know it should be piece of mind with it but I'm afraid I wont hear him on it. I have to get over the fear and anxiety lol

@melissamichele05 definitely, stick to whatever makes you comfortable. My SO was a mess with our DD when she was a newborn. I have been around and raised many children. So by the time I had my own I was a pro!! I was always comfortable with her sleeping on her belly and in her own room but my SO was a mess. He would always go in the room to check and see if she was still breathing. When she was moved to her own room it was a piece of cake. It was like it was no different to her. She was 4 months old she didn't know what was going on.

Мама двоих (младенец)

My sons crib is in our room. Maybe that’s a possibility? The thing with the pack and play some will get used to it and give you hell to switch them to the crib when the time comes

@mommiesaremagical14 yeh I think I may do that for another month then move him to his crib. This way I can still keep an eye on him and ease my mind

@melissamichele05 I was just going to suggest what @bhtslove suggested. The first 4 months with my DD she slept in a pack and play that came with a built-in bassinet peace. Basically her bassinet that was in the pack and play was as big as the pack and play. She slept in that for the first four months then was moved to a crib in her own bedroom.

@bhtslove hmm I could do that! I have it in the living room now but it def doesnt have to stay there! Why didn't I think of that 😂😂😂

@melissamichele05 What about switching him to a pack and play to sleep in your room?

melissa

@bhtslove yep I have nothing in there but his crib sheet. I'm sure if he rolls over he will cry once he gets frustrated like usual. He can hold his head up but he gets tired after awhile and then cries. Ughh the anxiety 😕

If nothing is in the crib, and nothing but the crib sheet is on the crib, he should be okay. My daughter slept on her stomach despite me not wanting her to, as soon as I'd put her down she'd roll on her belly.

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?
