This woman right here, let me tell you, is AMAZING!!! I know she’s committed to herself but what you all don’t know & didn’t see... is her commitment to the women she helps & inspire to look & feel their best.
The day she went into labor she was messaging me nonstop to connect me with her team to assure they were in good hands while she was in labor. Once she got to the hospital & they began to prep her she was still contacting me checking in to make sure everyone was okay when it was her we all wanted to be sure was okay.
If a woman can commit to other women while in labor.... she can do ANYTHING!!! I know she’ll regain her health & strength! She’s a determined woman! Xo 💕💕💕
Jessica Yates “Vulnerable Post:
Before you say anything about “yeah but you just had a baby..” know this. I gained 85lbs with my daughter and it took me 6 years of yo-yo dieting before I ever lost the weight and got my mindset right to really make some changes. I REFUSE to go through that again. All those years of hiding behind clothes, insecurities and lack of self-love. Nope, not again!
So, lost immediately after having Bradley I started getting my head right. After 9 months of having the “I’m pregnant” excuse to each junk food here and there I knew it would take a little bit to get my head right. I’m actually still not 100% or even 80% yet but I’m working on it!
Two weeks ago I decided to commit to our SUMMER SLIM DOWN CHALLENGE and I am SO damn thankful I did! That’s what I needed to really get my head in the game. Structure. It’s not always easy but it’s a great form of accountability and once the progress starts it gets easier but the day.
This pregnancy didn’t just produce weight gain for me. I lost almost all of my muscle and a lot of my strength. My once solid legs and arms I worked so hard for are now soft and have cellulite shining bright.
Thankfully, my stretch marks are mild and few. My boobs grew 3 sizes for the second time so you can imagine what I’m dealing with there. I have back fat which ranks in my top five or more like three insecurities since it was probably one of my most favorite accomplishments pre-pregnancy. It’s tough and humbling for sure.
Going to the gym is more frightening than I ever remember. I believe it’s more so because I know where I was and now I feel like I’m starting all over. Not to mention how incredibly self-conscience I am in clothes now. Nothing fits, whatever does is snug and shows all of the fluffy-ness.
Taking these pictures. Comparing them. Sharing them. THIS is what reminds me that I’m on the right path. Doing what I can to get back to a happy place with my body and being my own inspiration.
🙌🏻It doesn’t matter where you start from, as long as you start!!
