Today I Got My Membrane Stripped. How Long Does It Take For Something To Happen

For me I went in that night at midnight and he was born 11:17 the next morning

Sometimes it works, sometimes nothing happens at all.

I was two days past my due date when I had my membranes stripped and I went into labor that night.

@nariyahsmomma, Did they check you for dilation at all?

@nariyahsmomma, That’s great! Cramping is a good thing as well as losing mucus. It sounds like it may be working for you! If it’s not too painful, sex may help it along as well. I was induced medically, so I didn’t get the chance to get mine stripped.

@theinkedmommy, Yea Sex Ended Maybe A Month Ago Because Of The Pain. The Cramping Just Needs To Go Away. If It’s Working How Long Before Labor Starts

Hopefully it works for you, I had a membrane sweep on Friday I was 3cm as well I had mild contractions I lost my mucus plug the next morning and still nothing 😟 I have been using a yoga ball and walking my stairs I go back Friday to see my doc book an induction if baby is not here yet.

I had thick clear mucus come out morning after the sweep and last night I had more mucus with blood come out. But still nothing! My cervix is up high then most women I guess most women cervix is short. And that makes it more difficult for me I never had my water break on its own.

I’m 3cm too. They stripped mine on Monday & still nothing. She also said my cervix was still high so idk if that makes a difference

Had mine stripped at 3cm on a Thursday late afternoon. Had my son Saturday afternoon. Good luck!
