Hey Yall!!!
I have a couple questions for all the momma's on here.
Please feel to comment.. Don't be mean. There's no reason for rudeness!!!
I have a friend, she's like a sister to me, her and her husband want to get pregnant abd have kids, the issue is her primary care physician, not an obgyn, has advised her against. I recommended a second opinion.
The reason why is because she has several issues, some being MS, Scoliosis, and Epilepsy.
She's never been told that she couldn't physically have kids just that it's best if she not, she's also never been seen by a true obgyn, she goes to one of those family doctor's who supposedly does everything.
I always told her that if she ever wants to have kids, I will surrogate for her and that offer will continue to stand until I can't physically carry any more.
Does anyone in here have any of the issues she does or possibly the same combination of?
Can you please give me any advice to give her?
I already told her I'm taking her to an obgyn as soon as her new insurance kicks in!!!
Thanks in advance momma's!!!
@raquely , yes. She works part time, hasn't had a seizure in 4 years, she babysits for me all the time while I'm working and I have 3 kids that are not in school!!!
@raquely her egg and her husband's sperm would be put together in a tube to do there thing and then inserted in my uterus
@raquely right but whether she carries or I carry for her, there is still a chance that the kids could have her same health problems. That's why I just don't understand how you are putting it...
@tribe.of.judah thank you... I am definitely trying to keep her encouraged. If she wants to try and carry then that's what I want to help her do, other wise I am going to surrogate for her.
@raquely, ok but your completely against her having kids all together it sounds like, even if I surrogate for her!!
@mommyofbandk, I plan to, it's just neither of us can afford the ivf to do the surrogacy right now and I have to wait 3 years before having anything done because my youngest is 6 months old and I just lost a baby so for best results of a successful surrogacy is 3 years for my body to heal after a birth, loss and ceserean. She personally wants to try herself. She's misscarried once but that was 6 years ago and hadn't had the chance to see an obgyn yet.
@beautifulmomof4 no prob love. I was pretty discouraged and scared when talking to people who have the same conditions but i ended up working while in labor 👌 doctors will say one thing but in the end i feel its what the mom can handle.
@kariannemarie , I will definitely tell Christian that!! We have made an ob appointment for the beginning of June I will tell her to make those as well!!! Thank you
Its always best to get more than one Drs opinion. With her issues id even go as far as getting an opinion from not only an OB but a neurologist and a chiropractor
I have dysautonomia, mild scoliosis, arthritis in my back and both knees, EDS and a couple other medical conditions and was warned about the possibilities of my child having the issues but not advised to not have kids. I was also told that my issues could cause me to be in a wheelchair or on bed rest for the majority of my pregnancy but my baby girl is here and we are both happy and healthy 👌💪
@raquely she was never told she can't physically carry a baby to term, she was simply advised against it. Personally I think she could carry to term as a high risk patient with light activity and bedrest during the last trimester and a definite ceserean.
