Not to be super morbid, but I need some advice! I want to write down who Rose would go to if I’m some weird way my husband and I were to die at the same time. I don’t want her to be put into foster care and I don’t want both of our families to fight over what we would have wanted. How do I go about doing that? Have any of you ladies done something similar? Neither of us have a Will and have never even thought about it before we had our daughter.
@autism.mommy, it’s a hard decision. Hopefully it never has to come down to that. I was just talking to my mom about this, and she said when we were young she said she was just trying to be alive until we were 18 because she didn’t want us to go to our dad. Hopefully it never comes to that, but it’s something you have to think about.
@breezy81516, really? That’s interesting! Kind of sad they would possibly go against your wishes. But I would hope at least someone in the family got her.
@princessrose that is awesome! But, don't forget about you. I'm not stating placing the guardianship on someone else but talking to someone near and dear to you to be around. Someone who could actively be apart of your little one's life, to give off, or remind, of you.
Same here... It worries me as well. Cuz MY 2 older boy's dad not mentally capable to take care of the boy's plus he's into drugs n drinking and rest his fam yea. Only people i trust to take care of them right his grandparents but their to sick.... I asked my man if he would but honestly I don't think he be able to do it either alone with the issue's they have.
@krismoore87, yeah, I just don’t really want to pay for someone to write me up papers. But I’m afraid just writing a letter will still put her in foster care until they can prove the letters were from us. But we have talked about it some and we both agree his parents would have her.
I went through this. I immediately started a life insurance policy. If you do question what would be best for your little one would be to have the "talk" with your husband. It's amazing what you would find out about each other. I've made my decision to whom I'd like to set as an example in my sted, and so has my boyfriend. Having the legal documentation is the hardest part. Very morbid.
@mommabear1014, we just had a death in the family, and I don’t want to freak people out by talking about us dying to be honest. Lol. But I’ll just wait it out and see.
@princessrose, you can contact a lawyer and have them draw one up but no matter what you can't make it happen. Your husband will have complete control over what comes next just like my child's father would no matter what I've written or what we've agreed to beforehand. It sucks but it's true. My best advice is to tell everyone what you'd want ahead of time or write them personal letters for if you were to pass early
@mommabear1014, I guess my thing is, how do I write it down and make sure it happens? Like do I write something and give it out to the family. Idk. Lol
Yes if I die I want my baby to go to my parents, not her father. He knows this, they know this. It's something I believe is very smart to think about because you never know what will happen.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
