@mommynmotion, You have your blood taken as early as 10 weeks and it can tell you the gender. I had it done as well. Knew I was having a baby girl at 14 weeks. (Results took 2 weeks to come back for me).
I paid my doctor 80$ to find out at 16 weeks rather than wait until 20 weeks. He offered me to find out early from 14 weeks but I decided to wait a little longer to be sure the gender could be easier determined. I did ask about the blood work but most insurances don’t cover it and Medicaid wouldn’t either for me unless you’re high risk. My doctor said the price for the blood test could range from $200-2,000 without insurance covering it. He told me the way the blood test works is they look for the male chromosome, and if it isn’t there then you’re having a girl.

I paid for an ultrasound. I wish I would’ve know about the blood work. I didn’t know they did it through blood work.
