So my daughter has been digging in her diaper when it’s wet or dirty (even pulling poop out of the diaper) she pulls on her diaper when it’s dirty and absolutely will not let me change her diaper she hates it. Any suggestions
@danielzamor2007, thank you! This was the most helpful comment!
I'd say it's potty training time.... I started potty training my daughter at 12months... By 14months she was potty trained- she ended up with influenza and wouldn't have anything to do with the potty for a good month... I'd make her sit on it and that wasn't working... Then I had her watch potty training mini movies... I'd take her to the bathroom with me every time I had to go too... Then finally she wanted to use the potty.... Every time she uses the potty (and actually uses it) she gets 3 mini m&Ms... I can now say at 18 months she's officially potty trained... Now my son was more difficult (he's 12yrs old now) I thought I was NEVER gonna get him trained... I just put underwear on him and let him piss and shit his self... He HATED (of course) then I told him either go on the potty or sit in it- your pick... Well he was potty trained within two days... All kids of course are different- but if I was in your shoes this is what I'd do.
My son did that 😣 smeared it all over the wall and everything. Look on Pinterest for potty training tips!
@mommiesaremagical14, yeah that’s what I’m thinking. She does it when she pees too lol. She’s basically saying “this is wet please get it off” lmfao
@mommysbabies, it’s definitely nothing like that I know that for a fact. She does it because she doesn’t want it on her.
Talk to your dr mine just gave me information on poop smearing and a number for someone if it doesn’t stop because it can be an indicator of other things going on my cousin had emotional stuff going on that caused his
@mommiesaremagical14, I’ve tried the book and have given her my phone to watch Elmo videos about the potty but she only sits there for 2 minutes at the most
@courtney017 do you have a Kindle or an iPad or something with some games on it for her? Have you tried sitting her on it first thing in the morning when she wakes up? My DD used to hold in her fmu because her overnight diaper was so full. I started to notice that she would pee as soon as I put on a new diaper. Try giving her food a book or an iPad / Kindle while you sit on the toilet. That might keep her sitting a little longer and have a better chance of her going.
@mommiesaremagical14, I kinda feel hopeless because I’ve tried so many times
@courtney017 another thing I did was I got training underwear which are padded with a little extra padding in the crotch area I put them on her or I just let her run around naked. She didn't want to pee on the floor so if she could easily get to her potty on her own she did it.
@courtney017 I did a potty chart we're if she accomplished the chart the whole day she would get a reward. I filled a bag with dollar store toys. She also was a big balloon baby. So every time she use the potty successfully I blew up a balloon. Needless to say eventually by the end of the day there were balloons everywhere!!!
@mommiesaremagical14, she doesn’t even like to sit on the potty and I’ve tried everything
@mommiesaremagical14 oh wow! My son, I just put underwear on him and let him at it, it took a week. Tried that with my daughter and nope! Took 4months of constant reminders and she still randomly pees her pants out of spite.
@mommiesaremagical14 my daughter was about the same. My son was the easiest though.
@tiredmom yeah man, Joce started showing signs of being ready to potty train when she was 15 months old. I started potty training her actively at 18 months and she was completely 100% potty trained overnight included just around her 2nd birthday. 6 months start to finish she was done!!!

Her helmet she got so she can be safe (as she told me) when she rides her bike and scooter lol
So we are at my mother in laws and she tells my husband to give her wipes so she can change the baby, and I said I can change my kids diaper I don't need her to to do it, so of course my husband just gives her the wipes and she changes arias diaper!
Ok so then she disappears with my baby whatever,, and I get home and change arid diaper and she has a diaper on that's not hers, and it's to big, and i ask my husband where did this diaper come from and he says idk she went and changed her that time...
I just dont understand how you can smack a babies hand to make them understand to not touch something, have them in a toddler seat when they are 5 months old, and when she pulls the dogs hair you pull her hair?
Ok mommies my daughter is 1 1/2 and has been taking her diaper off every time she goes potty in it and when she can't get it off like if she has a full onesie sleeper on she pulls on it through the clothes think it's time to try potty training ?
