SO....My little stinker get tubes put in her ears tomorrow....any tips for post surgery???....

After my son had the tubes in he was cranky for a bit but then just slept most of the day afterwards. He wasn’t in any pain or anything. Honestly the whole procedure was 15-20 mins. It was so quick. I sat down in the waiting room and the next thing I know the doctor is saying, he is all done.

Yea they said it would be about 15 minutes

My son just got tubes today!! He was kind of inconsolable when he got into the recovery area :( he cried on and off til I got him to nap. We got there right before 7 and were home by 8:30. He fell asleep around 9 and slept for 3 hrs and when he woke up he was his normal happy self

I don’t think there’s any way to prep for post surgery because they said 95% of kids cry when they wake up because of how the anesthesia makes them feel. If she has a toy she loves bring that.

@shellbell0391 thats how she was....how is he doing with the ear drops???.....She's not a fan of them

@apples, he was okay, I turned on Mickey Mouse clubhouse when I did them so it got him to sit still for a min. I warmed them up too before putting them in his ears. Kept them in my pocket for like 30 mins before I put them in to warm them
