Hi Mama’s! My nerves! Last year the company I work for told me that our customer would not be extending our contract. That my last day would be mid June 2018. Well I go to work today jus like any other day. They tell me that my last day is THIS FRIDAY!!!! WTWholeF!!??? Now our insurance is cancelled in 3 days and I really dont know what to dooo!!! Oh and the severance package i wont get until May! This is sooo shitty. What do I do?
You can also get ebt for food assistance. Just apply because even if you get something its better than nothing. Unemployment can't take a while to go thru so file as soon as you know your last day for sure. I wouldn't bother with healthcare unless you have a condition. Its nice to have but until you're in a more stable position you can pay oop or low cost clinics.
@nomli, It is not included. I keep hearing how crazy Cobra is. I am filing for everything I find out about lol.
@kambam, It really does! I have! I had to look it up cuz I have never done that before.
The severance should include Healthcare! At least my friends did. Maybe it depends on the company.
That's rotten. I'm sorry. But yes, apply for unemployment. Losing a job and health insurance counts as a life changing event, so you can get new insurance now instead of waiting for open enrollment. Cobra is expensive but will continue the coverage you have now, with no lapse in coverage. Other plans may be an idea too, shop around, as well as Medicare or whatever the state insurance is.
I would apply for unemployment and state assistance for insurance right away
That really sucks. Can't you just file for unemployment once you're let go?
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
