@caylintay, what.. how?? My daughter is 3 and we are struggling to get her to get rid of it.. I said today is the day.. I’m off the rest of the week so I’ll deal with it lol
@mckinney032589, lol I wish I had advice.. we literally just took them all away one weekend and she never really complained about it. But she mainly just chewed on them. What my mom did was my sister was walk her over to the garbage and cut the tips off together and had her throw them away
Both of my kids stopped on their own at 4 months, no idea why but it made my life easy not having to deal with it later on! My nephew is 2 and he still has one. My sister has been teaching him to tell it, "bye bye" and just limiting his time using it. So far it's worked well for her
@momma_lazarus, I’ve tried that and telling her she’s gonna have to give it to the new baby.. but ima try to hold out and see how it goes lol but the thing is is goes without it at daycare literally all day but soon as she gets in the car she’s asking for it
@mckinney032589, just cut it up in front of her and say bye bye lol or make it a game to throw them away? We got really lucky on this with our daughter.
My son still sucks his pacifier. We tried to get him off of it about a week ago when he lost it, & he cried so bad my husband and I went and purchased a new one.
I had mine till I was 5. I'm letting Theo have his however long. You can try to give him maybe his sippy when he wants his paci. I know everyone says it will cause them to have speech and teeth problems but I do not believe it. My speech and teeth are perfectly fine with me having it that long.
