You did the right thing. He could’ve killed your son. Drinking and driving is NEVER ok no matter if you’re mad or not. His dad can get the fuck over it, he should’ve taught his son morals. This isn’t anyone’s fault but your husbands. You never would have called the cops if he didn’t drive off with your child, drunk as shit. Do NOT blame yourself for HIS mistakes.

You are right now way a child with a drunk man really if something would of happened to your child you would of went to jail for knowing he took him drunk driving seriously he shouldn't of done that took the kid he did it to himself

You absolutely did the right thing! He should have never grabbed your son while drunk and drove off with him! If he would have gotten in an accident and God forbid something happens to your son, his ass would be in jail! Fuck him and Fuck his Dad! Not only that but he could have endangered another driver because of his actions.

Listen to me. I’ve been in your EXACT position. My ex was piss drunk, pistol whipped and beat my ass and then drove off with my son who was 11 months old at the time. He was on the run from the police and hid my son in the city for 3 days. Children services got involved of course but because I was the victim they are only going after him. I’m going through federal court hearings now against my children’s father. It’s terrifying. Trust me you did the right thing.

Dear God, please calm this distressful situation. Please help her husband to realize she was trying to protect them both, especially her child. Please make the CPS not negatively impact this family. Please help her husband find peace in whatever he was seeking to relieve by getting intoxicated. Thank you for their caring parents, both his & hers. Please mold that care into an enlighten perspective of what occurred & that family supports & does not hold grudges. Amen.

He is the one who gave himself a record I mean would he rather have a record for killing his son what is wrong with people these days had you not called the cops it would make him more of an asshole later and he should be mad at himself not you for making the desicion to put his son in the car while he's been drinking not you for doing the right thing I'll tell you what I dated someone who was addicted to pills lost there license and wrecked there car hit another person his dad bonds him out only for him to buy another car drive around high on pills like 2 weeks later no license fictitious plates so I called the cops on him and kids were not involved. But he was gonna kill himself or someone else or both sometimes it takes something like this for a wake up call and I can't believe alcohol is legal but marijuana isnt when alcohol is way worse.

@damiensmommy1117, thank you! Waking up this morning and seeing every ones comments and your especially really made me feel better on what to do! I’m not even ready to talk to him but his parents and me want to talk to me today and I said no...cuz I am not going to be ambushed by his parents and him for making the RIGHT decision!! I’m still at my parents and my dad made me breakfast (cuz I forgot to eat yesterday) and told me if I need to stay at his house awhile I can and that my son is welcomed....said his parents and him come over to his house trying to start something with me he will just call the cops again lol
