Is it normal to have shooting pain in your breasts after nursing, and before? It’s excruciating. 😓 I’m also pretty sure my baby boy isn’t latching on correctly anymore, and he refuses to do so no matter how hard I try. Nursing has been extremely painful lately, and I’m not sure why.. 😓
@miaheka, i use nipple shields in the hospital they do help! They sell them right at Walmart
@miaheka, I’m glad you were able to figure out what it was lol You won’t even notice it after a while 🤭 But the good thing is you know when your milk is coming down every time my daughters on I feel it & I tell her here comes the milk & then there’s milk all over her face & neck lmao
@asandovaln, hey girl! Yeah. I still have it, but it’s become a little less than it was before. You were right, it’s my let down. 🙈😅 lol
I had pain when I first started feeding bry but now that we have breastfeeding pretty established it has gone away. I never pump cause bry eats a lot don't feel need to
@walkers-mom, lol 🙈 yeah, it literally feels like he has teeth and is biting the crap out of my nipple only. I feel more like a paci to him rather than his food source. 😂😂🤦🏻♀️
@miaheka, omg that sounds horrible 😫 but no you’ll just feel the sucking motion
@miaheka, ouch 😩 that’s why i stopped having him latch because he doesn’t know how too. My nipples would look like un even chap stick like the one girl said
@walkers-mom, 😩😩😩😩 it literally feels like he has teeth when he’s nursing and he’s only 3 weeks almost 1 month old! 😭
@miaheka, it was still kind of painful for me.. especially on my one that he cracked
@asandovaln, will it still feel like teeth biting with the nipple shield? lol 😅😩
@miaheka, i use nipple shields in the hospital they do help! They sell them right at Walmart
@miaheka, it helps with latching & since you have sore nipples it will help it be less painful
@asandovaln, I do pump every 2-4 hours! 😩 what does the nipple shield do?!
@miaheka, it only goes into my nipples but it goes away. Doesn’t hurt my whole boob! And look up symptoms of mastitis like they said. It’s very common . And the longer i go without pumping the more i get too 😂😂
@miaheka, you should try the nipple shield! And you should pump every 3-4hrs even if not much comes out you want to keep emptying your breast you don’t want to end up with mastitis! It’s horrible 😫😫
@asandovaln, no lumps or red spots. My nipples are extremely sore, but that’s from him not latching properly. 😓
@denisse.m, I pump every 2-3 hours with pain, and don’t get anything over an ounce... but if I go 10 hours without pumping I get over 12 ounces, and feel no pain. No I don’t know what that is. 😥
@miaheka, does your breast look any different?? Any lumps? Or red spots?
@miaheka, how often do you pump? When i first started pumping it would hurt me like that but it was because i was pumping to soon, instead of every 2hours like i should of been doing i was doing every hour and because i was trying to pump to much it did that. Also do you know what mastitis is?
@denisse.m, no, it’s my entire Breast from top to bottom. It’s a really sharp shooting, stabbing pain. :/ I pump every time I feel it and nothing comes out. I can always tell when my breasts are full by touch, and when I get the pain they aren’t full at all.
@denisse.m, i haven’t felt the pain before when I breastfed.. it just started recently. :/
@asandovaln, @walkers-mom, @sensen, my breasts aren’t full when the pain happens! I used to be able to pump 12 oz from both breasts, and I would never feel my milk coming in when... so I don’t think it could be my milk. 😣
when your son latches correctly and starts taking the milk that signals the breast to produce more milk the more the baby is being breastfed your body keeps making milk
@miaheka, Someimes mine don’t feel full but that doesn’t mean there isn’t milk in them.
@denisse.m, My breasts aren’t full at all. I thought that’s what it might have been too, but it’s not. 😣
@miaheka I'm not sure but it seems normal to me. In pregnancy you get the same pain due to your breast milk coming in. So, maybe it means more milk is coming in? That's just my guess. I could be wrong lol. For him not latching it could be because he's use to the bottle. You could try a nipple shield. They're for sensitive nipples, inverted nipples and for babies who prefer an artificial nipple.
@asandovaln, yeah i was gonna say when i get the shooting pain it’s when i have a let down because they leak lol! But @miaheka, my son was doing the same thing and only latching onto my nipple so I’m exclusively pumping and giving it to him through a bottle .
It happened to me all the time randomly & it hurt so bad 😣 but now i don’t even notice it
@denisse.m, That’s definitely how my nipples look. My baby destroys them. 😞😩 No one showed me how to breastfeed when I was in the hospital so I’m literally just winging it. Is the sharp stabbing pain normal? It doesn’t go away... only while I’m breastfeeding is when it stops, but afterwards it’s on going, and hurts so bad. 😞😣
@sensen, is the sharp stabbing pain normal? 😣 and yeah, he’s been both breastfeeding and drinking Breast milk from a bottle for night feedings.
Yeah. I tried starting up BF again and I started getting sharp stabbing pains throughout my breasts. I even got bad headaches. So, I just stopped. I'm sorry you're going through latching issues ☹️ Has he ever had a bottle?

I’m in shock not sure how to feel about this
We’ve been nursing for 15 months, and he is showing no sign of weaning. His latch sucks right now because he’s teething, so I’m not sure how much longer I’m willing to go 😞
I’ve been cramping for a month and not sure why I have a 10 month and I’m not sure if I’m pregnant again. My feet hurt and I’m having really back pain.
These contractions are getting worse even the nurse said the monitor is showing how constant I’m having them and how bad they are.
Stranger things!!
Omg just binged watched stranger things season one and two and it was amazing!!! I’m not into science fiction but man was this show amazing. I’m sure I’m late to the convo but anyone wanna talk about it?!?
@miaheka, omg that sounds horrible 😫 but no you’ll just feel the sucking motion
