Hey girls!! So I’m going through a couple things with dex currently. He’s a great eater, but refuses to feed himself. He gets mad if I try to show him. And if I just put him in his high chair with some bites, he just throws them. He only wants to eat if I put the food in his mouth. I don’t know what to do. I feel like I’ve tried everything. 😫 and secondly, kinda goes with the first, he’s overly obsessed with breastfeeding STILL. Like he wants it every hour! And still wakes up a ton of times throughout the night. And if I don’t give it to him, he just cries hysterically. I’m going crazy!!! Any advice or tips or anything to help me keep my sanity will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!! 😭

I would keep introducing finger foods that he can hold himself like just put some cereal in the high chair tray and you take one, look at him, and say eat. Things that he can make a mess with and it not be such a hassle to clean. Showing that it's bad to throw food is good too. You could also try introducing a utensil like the fork first (easier). At night what I'm doing currently is limiting how long my child is on, like once my child falls right back to sleep I put the paci there. I'm still having some issues with the feeding at night but not as long or frequent so my baby is sleeping longer and I can too although since being pregnant that doesn't work that way though lol. I want to feed as long as possible before my second baby gets here but I need my first to have some independence on feeding because there might be a few nights (delivery) that we can't be together.
