My son pooped and he started grabbing his diaper from the front by his genitals and screaming like he was in pain! And I cleaned him off , even rinsed with water and that made him scream even more . So I freaked out and I’m driving him to urgent care but he’s soundly asleep now? What the heck could it have been. I’m still taking him in to be seen because I’m not going to risk it happening at night and having him to bring him in later .

My pediatrician had never said to pull the skin back she just said to clean around it. But from now on during his bath I am going to. And he could tell by just looking at it , didn’t have to swab or anything. It was really red around the tip. @lilbensmomma,
Ahhh okay I see. I clean my son’s penis like that but I’ve never heard of that infection. Really good to know though!! I hope your little prince feels better soon!! What sort of tests did they run on him to figure out what he had?? If you don’t mind me asking of course..
@diegosmommy0213, the doctor said when bacteria gets built up in there from not pulling the skin back and cleaning . But my pediatrician or my husband never told me to do that

My daughter cries when she goes to the bathroom with any kind of rash. That’s probably what it is, but always good to be safe.

Ok so my son just got his first job. He’s also type 1 diabetic. Well last night while working his sensor starts going off his blood sugar dropped to 52. They told him he could deal with it after he got his orders done, which in a way I understand that but at the same time if it drops low enough he can pass out and that won’t be good for anyone!! They wouldn’t even let him just grab some glucose tabs out of his bag. I’m so torn here because I don’t know what’s appropriate and what’s not.
