My son pooped and he started grabbing his diaper from the front by his genitals and screaming like he was in pain! And I cleaned him off , even rinsed with water and that made him scream even more . So I freaked out and I’m driving him to urgent care but he’s soundly asleep now? What the heck could it have been. I’m still taking him in to be seen because I’m not going to risk it happening at night and having him to bring him in later .

Nope , not on his penis , he has one between the cheeks but it’s not bad , it’s mild irritation

My daughter cries when she goes to the bathroom with any kind of rash. That’s probably what it is, but always good to be safe.

@diegosmommy0213, I thought that too but he let me put diaper rash cream on it without flinching and hed be fine and all of a sudden he’d start screaming again grabbing it

@diegosmommy0213, the doctor said when bacteria gets built up in there from not pulling the skin back and cleaning . But my pediatrician or my husband never told me to do that

Ahhh okay I see. I clean my son’s penis like that but I’ve never heard of that infection. Really good to know though!! I hope your little prince feels better soon!! What sort of tests did they run on him to figure out what he had?? If you don’t mind me asking of course..

My pediatrician had never said to pull the skin back she just said to clean around it. But from now on during his bath I am going to. And he could tell by just looking at it , didn’t have to swab or anything. It was really red around the tip. @lilbensmomma,

@domsmama96, our pediatrician didn’t tell me either which makes no sense why they wouldn’t tell us huh! I was told by my mom, since she’s had 3 boys I figured she knew what she was telling me. Oooooh okay aw😔😔
