I have hardwood floors & we love our floors. But we’re worried about our baby having big falls and hurting their self. We’d obviously get rugs, but is that enough?

I haven't had carpet since before our first son and he's turning four in two months. There was lots of falls of course, but for the longest time I used a huge double pletted comforter that I'd lay out as a cushion once he started walking alot it was more out of our control but still haven't had a huge issue from it yet and in a month our little one will be here. I'm not concerned over our hard wood floors more so over all the little sharp concerns of tables and such, thank goodness for the cushioned tapes in the baby proofing section

It's fine lots of people don't have carpet I didn't with my 1st 2 but I have carpet in my living room cause it's a concrete floor

I had floor with my first. Falls will happen no matter what floor you have but it’s best to have floor since with carpet you can lose little things in it that either they can step on or find with their little fingers and put in their mouth

We have hardwood floors and our son is fine. Crawling was a little difficult cause he would slide but he's never hurt himself cause of the hardwood

We only had carpet in the bedrooms. We had laminate on concrete everywhere else, and put down rugs and those foam tiles (once he became mobile.)
Now it's all hardwood with rugs and he hits his head at least once a day (he's in the tantrum stage)
