So sick of work ,do i have right to ask for maternity leave when iam 26 weeks ?? Thanks
@rachaellw iam receptionist in a hotel .. im suffring with sickness and nausea 24/7 really don't know what to do ...
@norita23, what do you do for work? Could they help you out while your in first trimester. It gets so much easier in the 2nd trimester.
I cant leave till june but taking may as a holiday month. Im due in july xx
@rachaellw I'm planning to change job after maternity anyway cuz its soo far from home im travelling 1h30 everyday to work... so its doesn't really matter when i can take this maternity..
@norita23, I rekon it’s standard. If you want to be paid. As you’ll only get statuary mat leave for something like 39 weeks. I think it is. So if you went off now on mat leave you’ll have to go back nearly straight away. Try stick it out so you can be off when babys here’s. obviously unless you can afford not to work then go for it 😊 x
@rachaellw that's exactly what i read on internet but i dont know if its standard... I just can't see my self at work...
I can leave I think it’s 11 weeks before I’m due. Not sure if that’s standard or just my company x
@norita23, talk to your dr they may be able to prescribe something. But it’s just part and parcel of pregnancy I’m afraid. Things get better. Just sleep when you can. Try eating ginger biscuits when the nausea kicks in.
