So I've been on the iud since November of last year and gotten a period every month pretty much and now I'm three days…

@missmama92 I'd retest in a few days... Bc if you're pregnant you'll need to have that IUD removed immediately! Bc it can be harmful to the baby. Good luck!

@missmama92 Yep- that happens... Hopefully over time you won't get a period at all... That's what I'm praying for lmao

I have the IUD and I hate it... I bled for 3 months straight after having it inserted... Then I started getting a period every month that would last for almost 2weeks (I never would have heavy periods and my periods would never last longer than 4-5days before the IUD)... Then- I didn't get a period for almost 3 months... Then for 2 months I got a regular short period and now once again I'm not getting a period.... This IUD makes "periods" unpredictable....

When I had my IUD I never had a period but I know many who had theirs for a while then it stopped.

@missmama92, I haven’t either, I have a couple friends who’ve had it and that’s what they have said to be that it stopped their period after a point. what you are feeling could be just some side effects? But it gets worst, call your OB!

I’d say it’s regulating. I’ve heard from women that after the first couple of months, it can stop your period altogether. I know you took a test, but give it another couple days. Worst comes to worst, call your OB and see what they want to do.
