Baby's poop suddenly turned green!!!! Is it normal moms???? Please answer !!
I found with my son that it looked like algae, and it seemed that I had an over supply and it was a foremilk/hindmilk imbalance.
Basically my son would fill up on foremilk and not get much, if any, fatty hindmilk.
But letting him get that first bit and then pulling him off, just letting that excess foremilk pour (I had a lot of soaked receiving blankets) then putting him back on helped and my breasts figured themselves out and calmed down. And his poop went back to normal baby poop.
Hang in there and best of luck for a solution.
@tania.elbaba, ohh...well did you get anything for the baby girl?? Or they just asked to breastfeed??
Sometimes it shows later on. My daughter started showing when she was 3 weeks old. First her stool was green then it was green with blood
@tania.elbaba, im going to see his dr on Tuesday!! But if he was allergic to something should have started right away n not after 4weeks I guess. Let's see what the dr says.
Mucus means diarrhea. Green stool with mucus could mean allergy. Your son has the rash too right? Sounds to me that he is allergic to something in the breastmilk and or formula. Have you seen a doctor? Did you stop eating the most allergenic foods? He gets formula which most of the time contains dairies. Dairies are one of the most allergenic food.
@o_oo_ooh, no. It will go back on its own. As long as its not black your good.
They asked me to stop dairies nuts shelfish for a month and see if it gets better. After I stopped for a month she had no more green/ bloody stools.
