Has anyone had to take amoxicillin for a uti while pregnant ? I started taking it and now been having extreme back pain…

@lnkedupmommy, thanks so much I appreciate it. It’s just like any pain at all freaks me out cuz this is my first pregnancy and first trimester so maybe I’m overreacting but I just wanna feel better ;(

@morganlikeslions, girl i think id call and say its making me throw up and ask about just a one pill or something. Hope u feel better

@lnkedupmommy, I need that pill! This stupid medicine sucks. I switched to Cephalexin today tho. Hoping it helps the Back pain.

When i had a uti my obgyn prescribed me juat 1 pill to take and it went away in 24hrs wish i knew the name. Thats just wierddd hes making u take amoxicillin

@morganlikeslions oh good!! It's hard to remember cuz it was so long ago lol but I think that was around the time I was getting bad headaches too. But yeah it was bad!

@babymomma2018, Ok I’m glad it’s not just me. I was on my third day and the pain Keeps getting worse so they switched me to another one. Hoping it helps. Did you have any other symptoms than the back pain? Mine is super bad like I can barely move :( hoping it wears off soon and the new one kicks

@morganlikeslions, Oh I have heard about that happening and if it does there will be bleeding almost like a period bleeding but if one does absorb the other - the baby who did the absorbing will be fine. & remember just because it can happen doesn't mean it will xo

@morganlikeslions yeah from the amoxicillin. I didn't get the pain till I had like 3 left of my prescription and didn't put the 2 n 2 together till they were gone so I didn't switch but holy Lord was it painful...i think u should stop taking them n ask ur Dr if u can get a different prescription. They can cause more permenant problems with kidney pain like that if u keep taking them :/ I'd switch

@morganlikeslions, Oh hun I promise you that the babies are A OK. They have got a strong ass mom and they are strong as well, now the stressing about the babies isn't good for the babies so don't stress :P high blood pressure is dangerous while pregnant.

@mommaxbearx, yeah I switched to the other medicine I’m hoping it helps.. I have just been told I am having twins but they said sometimes one will be absorbed so I’m just being extra cautious with every little pain I guess .. now I’ve gotten use to the idea of two of them I want them

I just realized you may be referring to the pain in your UHA lol, my husband says that it could be the antibiotics fighting it off and that's why you're feeling pain now ( I didn't say it was about you or anything I just said hypothetically ) he also suggested that it could be the antibiotics not working.

@mommaxbearx, yeah I have had a kidney infection before and this feels like that but the weirdest part is I had no symptoms at all before I was just getting a routine urine check. Now I’m worried about

@babymomma2018, with the amoxicillin?? Did u switch meds ?? I didn’t have symptoms before and now my back hurts soooo bad idk if i should stop taking it or switch to the other one idk 😕🤬

@morganlikeslions, Okay so I did a little research it's safe to take which we knew cause your OB prescribed but it didn't mention anything about pain, some of the serious side effects were - severe lack of energy, tiredness, unusual bruising and bleeding, yellowing of the skin and the white part of eyes, and there was more but nothing about pain other than upset stomach and the shits, maybe the pain is just from being pregnant because that can cause pain especially since the baby is taking the calcium from your bones and it can actually cause brittle bones. I am sure you're okay just try and have a hot bath unfortunately when I was pregnant there was like nothing I could do for pain :/

@mommaxbearx but I wasn’t having any pain before that I didn’t even know I had a uti now I’m having so much pain it sucks.. hopefully the new medicine will help
