Ladies who are pre diabetic and j ave gestational diabetes, what does your diet consist of or how do you control your sugar levels?
I just hate how my doctor makes it so difficult and long to explain. Instead of just telling me simple things I can follow on my own.
Thank you ladies I will try walking more now that the weather is getting nicer. And will definetly watch my portions and what I eat from now on
@laila92, girl I understand. I had to start cooking for myself when I was at my moms. Normally when I’m at home everyone eats the same so it’s more simple. If food is still difficult try waking after every meal. It will bring your numbers down.
Thank you @amouryaya09 I can't keep my levels under control being in a Hispanic home it's always hard trying to stay away from all the good food but then again isn't so good for me or the baby.
Protein and veggies! That’s what kept my levels under control. I walked everyday also. There’s a book called magic menus. It has all the restaurants menus and how many carbs are in each item. It can help to figure out what you can eat when you don’t feel like cooking.
Can gestational diabetes show up in your urine? 🤷🏻♀️

Thanks for coming to this very well needed TedTalk.
I was on insulin. Nothing helped with my sugars but I did do a protein and veggie diet, no carbs or white starches.
