how many months before yall felt comfortable pushing your baby in a stroller at the park? i feel like by the time i can it’ll be too cold to 😕im just excited to go for my first post prego long walk.
I’ll be taking my new baby on walks as soon as I feel physically ready, probably 4 weeks pp. I’ll just make sure it’s not too hot out. Our car seat/stroller combo has the canopy that closes all the way over the baby so I can completely keep her under that if I want to, or let her get some air. The hard part is gonna be having my toddler walk beside me while pushing the stroller😑
I was going for walks when he was about 3 months. But it was also almost winter time. But we went for occasional walks right after he was born. A blanket and maybe a car seat cover should be just fine.
@lavender13 Maybe just start with sitting outside with him in your lap when he's a little older and go from there. I let my son have tummy time outside when he was four months old in the backyard on his playmat and he loved just looking around.
@lavender13 Just wait until your comfortable :) if you take him out and you're a nervous wreck the whole time you're just not going to enjoy the walk at all.
I took my son as a newborn. I would just drape a muslin swaddle over the stroller or pull the cover all the way down. Its good for them to get fresh air.
I took my son on walks right outside of my house since he was a newborn and I would just hold him, I didn’t do public PUBLIC places until he was 3 months
@leroydoom, oh okay. im just not sure cause all the wind would be in his face n stuff. i may wait til he gets his first shots idk. im probably overprotective
