How would he know that he wants to dress like that he’s 5 lol
Michelle·
Maybe he’s a little older but not much. At that age he doesn’t know what close he wants I mean would he?

Um. No. Hell no. I stand firm when I say doing such a thing is an ADULT decision, not one a child makes. When I see this stuff, I believe it's influenced by the parents. Which I personally think is a fucked up thing to do, but there is nothing anyone can do.

Personally, I would not be ok with my son dressing that way. I am all for encouraging my boys to do what they like but that’s a big one for me. When they are adults and they want to chose the dress like a woman then, they can do as they please but I wound not be encouraging this.

We raise Bear gender-neutral. He has full control of his self-expression and gender presentation, whatever that may be. I can speak from experience that being forced into conforming to gender roles does far worse things than supporting a childs self expression. That being said, forcing a child into any manner of expression is harmful so if - big if - he was forced into this, thats just as bad. But if it is his choice, then as a parent, I have to honor his/her/their identity and expression.

Personally for me I agree with @trailer_trash_queen In saying that the parents have a lot of influence on these kind of decisions. I really can't for the life of me understand a 5 year old child being confused about their identity/gender… it just doesn't seem like it works that way. I have an issue with parents who don't want to put a gender on the birth certificate too.. I think it's causing all the confusion. My son will grow up to do and be whatever he pleases, whatever he feels is right and I'll support him. when hes grown until then..

If he chose to wear that then she's just respecting his decision... He may be young but even my 2 year old can pick out the shirts and clothes he likes and wants to wear, he's got a couple favorite shirts that he wants to wear all the time. That's him making the decision to wear it and as long as it's clean I let him. This boy probably just likes how those clothes feel when he wears them and is comfortable with them and like how they look. People view girls wearing boy clothes as completely normal and think maybe she's just a tomboy or maybe it's her boyfriends shirt or hoodie how sweet, there's rarely ever anything wrong with a child dressing in the opposite genders clothes then, so why should it be any different for a boy? Just my opinion...

I would be ok with whatever MY son wants to wear , it’s his choice so I don’t see a problem with it neither does my husband.

I do alot if research and analysis alot of shit to know this generation is fucked, in not buying he want this so she's respect his wishes smh I've never came across nothing like this growing up and when I did the boys was already old enough to make they own decisions. I grew up a tomboy but that was because I grew
Up with a lot of brothers and dressing tight wasn't my thing at the time I didn't want attention from boys I was focused on school but now it's all about attention and making kids feel comfortable I don't see a baby saying they want a blue or pink blanket unless that's what their used to or forced upon by parents....I'm still trying to understand what make this generation so free and ok all of a sudden but back then it was never ok 🤔

I feel like celebrity parents do it for attention. Cuz it's crazy how ONLY celebrity children "choose" to dress opposite gender. And they're all soooo young. I don't think it's real in the media. They just want to look like awesome parents for allowing their child to wear what the want and still love them. But personally I've seen at my job a couple of boys come in dressed like a girl bc they want to. And you can tell it was their choice bc outfits aren't put together very well and stuff but it doesn't bother me knowing they actually chose it. If they pointed out an opposite gender outfit at the store they wanted then I'd consider it. But I wouldn't take them to that clothing section EVERY time I went to buy them clothes just bc I know they like it. I'd go to their gender's and see if they find something they like there.
