Moms this is Breast milk right? I’m getting told it’s colostrum still ugh

That colour you milk will be for at least 2 weeks I wore breast shield they made the milk come on

I believe it takes at least 2weeks to come in.

You’re doing great mama! If you’re steadily getting 2 oz from a pump I’d go ahead and try getting him to latch on and eat maybe? Baby can get more out by sucking than a pump can get out. And it looks like you’re getting enough for a feeding. When I had Lilly they wanted me to feed her and pump after a feeding and offer her a little of the pumped milk too. But whatever is working for you guys! I know it’s hard. I wish I would have done it longer!

My milk came the day I brought my son home maybe the next day. Babies drop weight it’s normal and you’re colostrum is so incredibly good for him while you still have it.

@liz41395, he won’t latch even with a nipple shield he won’t open his mouth it’s tiny so I’m just pumping after he eats or while he’s asleep & hopefully I’ll get a good enough supply soon to where i don’t have to supplement formula

@walkers-mom, he does get more out being at the breast than pumping. If that’s what you want to do and if he’s able to do that
