Yes! My husband and I are both lactose and my son has a milk allergy. Very possible.

@jtaylorg, I would! They may give you some info on what you should do. Are you receiving wic? They can switch you to soy without saving to dish out a ton of money.

@amouryaya09, ugh! I wanted to get wic but my boyfriend makes too much for me to get it cuz we live in the same house. he says he doesn’t mind how expensive it is, as long as we get what she needs

@jtaylorg, I would still try! Every little bit helps especially when she starts on baby food. You can stock up and try a lot of different things. Whatever works for you guys though. I hope she takes well to the soy formula. This whole process is a pain!

We think my son inherited his dad's orange allergy.

I'm pretty sure it was my fiance's allergist who said that if a parent has an allergy the child is more likely to get it. I had to have soy as a baby, though, and my fiance is still allergic to dairy, but our son seems perfectly fine with milk. (I only know that because I saw it in my baby book - my dad doesn't remember at all.)
