Ladies I need help. Madi was on Similac neosure 22 calories from the time she was born and in the nicu till tuesday at her 2 month check up. The doctor gave us Gerber Gentle and for 2-3 days it seemed like she hated it. The amount she was taking was less and less when it should have been the opposite. She was also getting really gassy and fussy. I switched her to the Enfamil Gentlease and the same thing. Little less fussy, but taking less and less. Today in a 8 hour time frame she only took 1.5 oz. I can’t tell if she hates that one too or if it’s something else. Idk what to do. and yes i understand you’re not supposed to switch formulas so often but i really just want my baby to eat and gain weight. I feel like maybe I should have stayed in the Similac family.. because that’s the brand she was on. and just taken her off the neosure and done the regular similac pro advanced. Or should I give her more time with the enfamil? What should I do? P.S I plan on calling the doctor tomorrow

They make similac pro sensitive and similac sensitive (I would try that one) that is what my pediatrician advised me to switch to from the neosure if needed

My oldest was on neosure for 5 months. Unfortunately, insurance wouldn't pay for it anymore. I was fine with purchasing formula. The pediatrician recommended staying in the similac family. We switched her to similac pure bliss. She's now on the toddler version. My infant was on similac pro advance and it wasn't a good fit. We tried the sensitive to that and it was worse. I had a can of pure bliss still. And that worked great.
How long have you tried? But I suggest calling. Your gut is says something isn't right

@mommyof2girlz, hmm i’ve never heard of the pure bliss. what’s the difference between that and the rest?

@jtaylorg, formula made with grass fed cows. It doesn't have the additives that other formulas have. I remember neosure one of the first ingredients was corn syrup.
It's sold in Walmart, target and on Amazon. It's a little more costly; but the price has started to come down from when I first started purchasing it. Cartwheel also helps

@mommyof2girlz, she was born at 33 weeks at 4lbs 11 oz. she’s 2 months now and she’s 7.5 lbs
