Need some advice ladies so my youngest daughter is 2 almost three months old and my milk supply is low and when I say low I mean I barely get one ounce of milk from my boobs now I have taken vitimins that my doctor perscribed that was suppose to help my milk suply but they havent worked and I been staying away from sugar and eating good carbs and also drinking water but my milk still isnt producing much and I have tried to power pump but I cant ever find time so any advice because I really dont wanna stop breast feeding
@isabellesmomma212 thank you I will try the tea and I drink alot of water and I will start eating oatmeal and I didnt know they made breast milk tea I will have to go get some
Lots and lots of water! Pretty much drown yourself in it. Getting baby to latch is very important too because their sliva goes into your body and let's it know to keep making milk. Pumping just pulls out what's in there and that runs out if your body can't sense what to make for the baby. Oatmeal is definitely a big helper. There is also tea's that help you make more. My favorite was Mothers Milk Tea. You drink it twice a day and you'll be spilling it out all over the place. Lol At least it did for me.
@purplecarissa I have tried lactaion cookies they didnt work and I get only a few hours a night because either the baby is up or my 1 year old is up
Have you tried lactation cookies they say eating oatmeal helps with supply and you have to make sure you get a lot of sleep
If you have to supplement (which i hope theres some way you could still breastfeed) try similac sensitive! Its an amazing milk to use while supplementing (: enfamil isnt good.. Just throwing that out there!
