Anyone on here know anything about pyloric stenosis??

Yes. My sister was born with it. Her stomach was completely cut off from her esophagus and she had to have surgery at 2 days old to fix it.

@lovelily, my baby is a month ... and i breastfeed.. these past 2 weeks she has projectile vomited .. and it’s scary bc it’ll come out her mouth and nose .. she has some tests Tuesday to check to see what the reasoning behind this is.. but I have a forceful let down .. so baby she is getting too much milk to digest.. idfk :(

@kndosda95 It could be too much milk too fast. If her esophagus is narrowed that would cause it to come up. Is she gaining weight?

@lovelily, pyloric stenosis has so many symptoms.. like weight loss dehydration.. less wet diapers and many more. The only symptom babygirl has is the projectile vomit.. she is gaining weight fine.

That’s why a part of me feels like it may very well just be too much milk.. but this shit is scary . I mean girl it shoots out about a foot far and comes out her mouth and nose forcefully

I suspect reflux. Hopefully the tests come back okay.

@lovelily, I hope it isn’t anything too serious.. but reflux is just spit up as a symptom.. not projectile i thought.. idk Tuesday they are doing a barium x ray so we will see
