Is he taking you to court to get visitation rights or are you taking him to court to have his visitation rights revoked? Usually, if you don’t have a pre-existing custody agreement and can’t work one out without court intervention, you or he will need to file papers with family court for a hearing time (the way you do that varies by county), then you will be assigned a court time for a family court judge to hear the case. The hearings can also differ by county/state, as can any paperwork that might be required by the court (DNA tests, birth certificates, etc.). You can usually get a pretty good idea of the process and what paperwork/tests/etc will be required if you check your state/county website, usually there will be a section for family court or custody disputes. I don’t know how it works in your state. It in Florida even though the dad may sign the birth certificate he’s not classified as the dad in the court eyes until paternity is done so he doesn’t have any rights to the child
