I understand completely on what your going through my mom is a crazy b#### she tried having my husband arrested for supposedly kidnapping me but he was in a whole nother state I would put a no contact order on her so by law she cannot contact your kids and if she does she will be arrested

Grandparents only have rights if both parents are gone. The courts perfer to give children to family members of the parents are gone before placing them in foster care if no family members are left. Since you both are healthy and living and care for your child, she will not have rights. If you have proof that she is a violent person, then show that to a judge and they'll kick her to the curb.

I think Grandparents Rights are only legal in certain states, and that's really only for like visitation I think, the parents have to be proved unfit for the grandparents to get awarded custody
