Do you have cream . use that before and after feeding . It takes about a month or two to get fully use to it . the more baby nurses the easier it gets

It could be the latch, I heard if that's happening it could be that you're not getting the correct type of latch.

It gets better week by week but I remember still being in pain when my son latched but stopped feeling it at around a month and a half .

Maybe you should consider a lactation consultant? They would be able to tell you.

@shannonmallory93, i had one at the hospital. it’s just hard to get his mouth open enough. may need to get those nipple guard things idk

@lavender13 oh mommy I use to ask the same question mine didn't stop hurting until just a couple weeks ago baby was 12 to 13 weeks which my beast would be so sore that I would have to get a break and feed him with a bottle but if you want to be exclusive I wouldn't recommend giving baby a bottle because now my baby prefers bottle rather than my breast but still latches but not as much as I want him to...i also tried shields and breast still would hurt I didn't get help from my consultant and she told me my babys mouth is so small and tongue is still tigh that his gums are what's making my breast hurt so much...my baby is 14 weeks now and it doesn't hurt but still feels weird and somewhat uncomfortable but I'm doing my best to go as long as I can't and as long as I keep producing
