So if we have a boy my husband wants to name him John after him but his nephew is already named Johnny after my husbands dad. I don’t want there to be a Johnny and a John if we ever decide to be around his family during the holidays.

Maybe you can do a double first name? My little brother is John-Landon. Also, my dad loves the name John so much, my second brother is named Sean which is the Irish name for John.

Do u mean as a John Jr. If so u could call him Jr or JJ as nickname.
