Deacon got his, too! He was super fussy this morning but right now he's sleeping. How was his check up?

@halifax6, great! he’s growing nicely the doctor says. he’s tall & skinny lol how was Deacon’s checkup?

@kartersmommyy he's not where he wants him to be weight wise. Need to add an extra scoop to his formula, but other than that he's great! He's 8 lbs 9.2oz!

@halifax6 I'm not sure if your situation but mine were early and in NICU and they told us about a high calorie formula and I would just add it to my BM for extra calories.

@scidg3 he was in the NICU! I did the extra formula with the breast milk, up until last week when I quit pumping, because I barely got 2 oz a day. :] :]

That's fine girl! The formula I'm talking about is high calorie and I'm guessing it's geared to help preemies get their weight up... I'll see if I can find a pic @halifax6 😊

@scidg3 oh, awesome! Do you know how it does with gassy babies? I finally found a formula that he can digest well and not be overly gassy!

This is the one I used... It's 22cal...I do not know how it is for gas. 😔 if he is doing good on what you have, maybe stick with it.....I just know I stressed so hard as a FTM with their weight and honestly looking back I stressed way too much!! 😵😂 @halifax6

@scidg3 I could use it like I would with the breast milk. I'm sure a 1/2 tea spoon wouldn't mess him up too bad. Anything would help. He was just slightly below the curve for his age.

My girls are still in the <5 at almost 2years 😂 if he is staying on HIS curve and he was preemie doing that good I'd count that as a win! 😊 Try not to stress, enjoy him, he will only be little for so long. How early was he? @halifax6

@scidg3 hewasn't a traditional preemie. he was early he was born @ 37 2 but I was on a lot of blood pressure medication so he was just really really small. Not just weight wise, but size wise.

@scidg3, @halifax6, that’s the formula madi is on. it helped her gain weight in the NICU but i’m hoping at her 2 month check up they tell me I can stop using it. it’s expensive and it makes her constipated😫 but as far as weight gain, it’s great!
