@d0iinjusfiin3, oh yea she has apnea. Have to wait till she’s not sick to do her sleep survey for the ENT so she can get approval for surgery

@amberspringer whats a sleep survey? And yea mine had sleep apnea too. We went to see the ENT Dr and he just looked at his tonsils and said surgery would be the best thing to do. Which I already knew. But I never hear of a sleep survey. They just went off of what I said and how he sleeps. Is your kid hyper?

@amberspringer I haven't heard mine snore since the surgery. ☹ it makes me sad because I was used to it but it had to be done. He had his tonsils and adenoids removed Monday. His voice sounds different too. ☹

@d0iinjusfiin3, well here they either do a survey or a sleep study. But her dr said her tonsils are very big and floppy and so the adenoids will be removed too. Oh yea she’s extremely hyper but her dad has adhd also. But her regular dr isn’t sure yet if she has it.

@d0iinjusfiin3, basically with the survey, I monitor when she sleeps and then fill out questions like how often does she stop breathing etc. I showed him the video and he was very certain she needs surgery

@d0iinjusfiin3, I’m terrified cause when I was her age, they put me to far under for surgery and I almost died. So it freaks me out

@amberspringer oh wow they just went off by what I told them and they asked me questions. They said his were huge too. He snored super loud and would stop breathing and when he would catch his breath his arms would go flying everywhere. I would always have to sleep the other way because he hit my face alot. And yea with mine it's hard to tell if he has ADHD. I'm really hoping this surgery fixed that. I don't want him on medication. But hopefully your daughters surgery goes by super quick. They said it would take 45 mins for my son's but it was less than that. She's gonna be in pain though mine is he wakes up crying I feel so bad. 😭 but it's going to help them later on with getting better rest. What made the Dr asked if he snored was by his bags under his eyes. His Dr said kids aren't supposed to have that and she check his tonsils and yup she said they were huge. So we waited until he was 4 to see the ENT Dr.

That's crazy I always had enlarged tonsils and I was diagnosed with A.D.D n A.D.H.D when I was 7

@melissagarza1090 you never had them removed?

Nope they were suppose to do it many times but it never happened I still have problems with them til this day any little thing makes my tonsils swell up
