Looking for some advice ,
My nephew came to mine today and I was looking after him , when he got home he started to have an outburst in spots , he has been told he has chicken pox however I've already been near him and I'm just over 10 weeks pregnant is there anything or I should do, or can do incase I catch them my sister knows she can't bring her son around me till there gone. Also can chicken pox if I got them harm the baby , any advice would be much appreciated x

@leighjamie99, Is this your first baby too hun? Everything is always scarier with your first as you don’t know what to think in some situations or who to believe. I didn’t enjoy my first pregnancy at all as I was always stressing about something 😩x
@rochelledacostabest @melanie-spiritmedium thankyou both honestly helped a lot I was worrying a lot because I have my nephew quite a lot while my sister works as we both work opposite shifts x
@rochelledacostabest, Yeah that’s true about being immune if you’ve had it before hun it doesn’t matter how long ago it was. It’s just worrying isn’t it when you’re not sure x
@leighjamie99 and @melanie-spiritmedium I.have literally just come back from. My midwife appointment and have a similar dilemna. My husband and I are meant to be babysitting my nephew who has chickenpox and I'm 28 weeks. I've had it when I was about 8 so I thought if be OK but my husband was adamant he can't come to the house for a Month! I asked my midwife and she said if I've had it then baby and I are immune and it's absolutely fine. I trust her word over my husbands!
@leighjamie99, It’s possible to get them more than once, my daughter actually did but it’s not very common so try not to worry. I’d still give your gp or midwife a call tomorrow just for advice to stop you worrying x

@leighjamie99, If you’ve had them before even as a kid then you and baby will be immune now. It’s dangerous for pregnant women who’ve never had them x
@melanie-spiritmedium that's good then hopefully I don't get that I just worry a lot , I had them when I was little once but not since I'm going to wait to see if I get any spots hopefully I don't x
Just to put your mind at rest a bit hun the chances of the chickenpox virus harming your baby are usually less than 2% so very small chance. Have you had them yourself?x

the amount of women who are clueless about their own anatomy is so sad and shocking. a lot of the women are older than me and have more children then I do 😳
now I understand that everyone has their own opinion on the topic and grown adults can do whatever they want with their bodies but to deny facts and make up false statements about your own anatomy when it comes to your unborn child is just so disappointing.

I miscarried last year at 9 weeks I think that's why I stress a lot more with this pregnancy but I know everything healthy I've had several scans I just worry a lot because like you said I don't know what should or shouldn't happen x
