Most of the doctors at my OB office will induce at 39 if you request it. Anything before then they have to have a medical reason for it.

I've been in the hospital 3 times over the past couple months for abnormal bleeding. This past visit over the weekend I was having contractions 2 minutes apart but was not dilating further. I was forced to start my maternity leave this week due to my level of discomfort and the distance of my job from the hospital. I really don't want to waste all of my leave on time not with my baby. Just curious how long they will let me go without inducing.

You can bring it up to your doctor and see what they say about it, but they usually don't want to until reason!
