I love my son I really do but his whining has gotten out of control. My parents spoiled him way to much to the point where everything he does is always whines to get what he wants. I am very different and will not give him anything until he stops the behavior 🙏🏻😪

@breederofboyz, I have tried that he still does it anyways 😪 my mother would always yell at me for trying to correct him and she would always say he’s just a baby

I can't tell you HOW to discipline because every one parents differently. But I can tell u what worked for me .
When my son turned 6 months is when we started giving him boundaries/rules if he crossed them we gave him slight pop on the hand with a firm no . Not all the time sometimes we just removed him from behavior and redirected his attention/behavior.
But when I used the pop , the next I didn't pop them but warned him by saying ”dont do (whatever he was trying to do) I'm going to pop pop you. And I would repeat that until he stopped (no more than 3 times) before I actually popped him .
Now I have a one year that I rarely pop but constantly warn that I will.
I don't believe in whoopings so I wanted to get an understanding of boundaries and rules early .

@arthuranna26, my husband I thought it would be cheaper to feed a toddler rather than a baby on formula. We were wrong.

@arthuranna26, sounds like our kids are pretty similar. Melody is all about throwing the food. I hate feeding her because it’s such a big mess
@crystal.newman, oh jeez my son will scream till I give him some of my food but then he will throw it on the floor and walk away and than act like he wants more so he can throw it on the floor again 😪
@arthuranna26, omg same!!! And she’s learned to scream at the top of her lungs. Like the very top of her lungs and one time she was mad at me while I was holding her little sister and screamed in the babies face. I knocked her ass down and gave her a whooping. She could of done some damage. Another time she was mad and I was changing her sister diaper on the floor because it was just easier on me and my daughter tried to purposely step on her. She’s so wild.

@breederofboyz, I am trying I put him in a time out and he leaves it and than screams yet nothing is happing to him.
I would suggest that you find a discipline that works for you and hurry up & stop that behavior because it will only get worse .

Stay firm & while he's whining (granted he's not screaming) talk to him and explain that he has to use his words to tell you what he wants. I know he can't talk really but that's how I do my son. Its preparing him for when he can talk and what you expect of him .

My son is 7 and he knows race and color. Why? Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. At what age do you think a child should be making their own breakfast? I have a 10 year old and I think he is perfectly capable of making himself breakfast. It doesn't take rocket science to put some waffles into the toaster, or microwave some pancakes. My husband insists that he needs to have breakfast made for him because if we left it up to him he wouldn't eat enough and it would take him forever.
