@beerus, I’m very interested in it for communication and other things. I’m just worried it’ll bring out bad feelings in us or skeletons in closets. Like things he’s maybe held back from telling me in fear of upsetting me.. that’s what I’m most worried about. He suggested us go a few years back but I took it as him thinking we were getting a divorce and shot it down. I’m sorry to hear it didn’t work for you guys. That makes me nervous lol

My parents tried it and it didn’t work, but they were at a point in their marriage where they both had checked out. Even at the meetings, one of them was always holding back. I’ve heard great things from some people and others having not so great experiences like my parents. BUT I can say, that even though they aren’t married any more, they have a better understanding of each other and get along so much better than when they were married.

So I really think it’s all about who’s willing to do what and just being honest and open. If things come out that you guys have never told each other, you should be able to work on them together, not get upset and angry and make things worse.

@j.andtaysmama, I’m sorry. It’s a tough call. I would say as long as you both are on the same page, it might me worth your wild! And give you some insights.

My husband and I did. We were going through a lot and we had just lost our baby so it greatly helped us with communication. We both were willing to go and work on things so it definitely needs to be something you both want.
