You can use either. Warm isn’t recommended for children because it has a heating mechanism inside that can burn them if they get it.

Just follow the directions. Mine says to keep it 6 inches from the wall and 4 feet from the bed.

If she's stuffed up try steaming up the bath room and letting her sit in there for a while. That's what I did when mine were that small
