Last night my 5 week old did not want to nurse more than 10 minutes the two times I tried to feed her when I heard her fussing because she was too interested in going back to sleep. Instead of being excited and getting some sleep too I was all over Google making sure something wasn't wrong even though the pediatrician had already told me it was okay to stop waking her to feed at night. #newmomparanoia

Waking to feed? My dd is a week old and I was told by her doctor to wake her every 2 hours during the day and 3-4 hours at night to feed her. For the first 3 days I did that and when I would wake her fit a night feeding she was fussy and usually wouldn't go back to sleep and would want to nurse constantly until about 9 am. I tried not waking her last night and she slept beautifully! She woke up around 6 hours in and ate then slept another hour or so and ate again. Is it ok to let her sleep?

So my baby is 8 weeks old and is thriving with weight gain each doctors visit. So here is my question: around 4-5 hours at night for sleep she wakes up every night and sucks on her thumb. (She finally this week likes it to soothe her during nap times) her eyes are still closed and she moves around and sucks it. I wake her to feed her. My question is should I just let it go? And see if she is just soothing herself to sleep? I don't want her to stave by morning if she sleep a couple of more hours. What would you guys do?

Hey mummies! My baby girl has been in a bedtime routine now since 4 weeks old. She's now 91/2 weeks old. She has her last bottle about 7.15-7.30 then goes down to bed for the night. She's not waking up for her feed around 10-11pm and sleeps till around 3pm. I've woke her up for her feed around 10-11pm but I find it makes her wake more through the night. Just wondering if there's a way I can change the bedtime around a bit where she has a catnap then feeds around 9pm then goes down the night and will sleep till around 6am. She's probably still too young to sleep through the night but when I hear other mums say their baby sleeps through the night, I wonder why my baby isn't.
